Birdathon 2026 and Social

Birdathon is our biggest fundraiser of the year. This year we are continuing our partnership with SELVA Colombia to support hemispheric wide conservation to protect migratory birds. Habitat for sensitive migratory species is being threatened here in the United States and on wintering grounds in Central and South America. SELVA is working in Boyaca, Colombia, to help the community protect forest tracts that support critical winter habitat for many of our treasured summer Blue Ridge breeders including the cerulean warbler, Canada warbler and Acadian flycatcher. Money that is raised from our Birdathon will go directly to funding tree nurseries for local reforestation and to training local, eager conservationists to help introduce this wonderful place to the nature tourism circuit.
