Many people want to remember a loved one or honor someone meaningful in their lives. For those who love nature and birds, the Beaver Lake Bird Sanctuary is the perfect setting for this kind of special remembrance. Through the generosity of the Mitchell Lerner family, Blue Ridge Audubon Chapter has erected a locally-crafted, metal sculpture of a tree at the Sanctuary. The name of your loved one or honoree can be engraved on a nameplate and affixed to our "Remembrance Tree'' which is sited in a peaceful gazebo at the Sanctuary.
Your gift will also support the Beaver Lake Bird Sanctuary and ensure that it always remains a place for people and birds.
Please fill out the form to notify Blue Ridge Audubon of your interest and someone will be in touch to discuss the specifics including your donation amount and method. You have the choice of having the nameplate simply affixed to the tree or to a metal bird. In addition to your memorial gift acknowledgement, Blue Ridge Audubon Chapter will send a personalized message notifying the family that a gift has been made in their loved one's honor.
