Clayton Gibb will be presenting the early findings of his Northern Saw-whet Owl tagging project. His presentation will delve into the world of avian tracking technologies, Southern Appalachian ‘sky islands’, and the breeding biology of these elusive predators.

About the event
Clayton Gibb will be presenting the early findings of his Northern Saw-whet Owl tagging project. His presentation will delve into the world of avian tracking technologies, Southern Appalachian ‘sky islands’, and the breeding biology of these elusive predators.
Clayton is a researcher with Wild Bird Research Group, a bird research and education non-profit. He is a former board member of Asheville’s Blue Ridge Audubon Chapter and has previously worked for the NC Wildlife Resources Commission on various bird monitoring and research projects. He is currently pursuing his master’s in biology at Western Carolina University.
