About the event

Join Kevin Burke on a tour of Hawaii and its beautiful birds! We'll explore the avian highlights from three main islands: Oahu, Hawaii, and Kauai and learn about the challenges facing the native Hawaiian birds and efforts to slow the rapid decline of these species.  As a guide for Victor Emmanuel Nature Tours (VENT), Kevin has led several recent birding trips to Hawaii. Hawaiian birds are in a constant battle for survival, from the Palila to the 'Alala see what is being done to save these magnificent endemic birds.


We are trying out a new venue for this in person program. Please join us at AB Tech's Ferguson Center for Allied Health at Workforce Development, 10 Genevieve Cir, Asheville, NC 28801 (building #24 on map found here).
