About the event
Florrie Funk, one of wonderful volunteers and a knowledgeable plant person, will host volunteer workdays every Tuesday at the Beaver Lake Bird Sanctuary from 9a-11am in July and August and 10am - 12pm in other months, weather permitting. You'll remove invasive plants, do some planting when seeds and plants are available and also learn to identify native species found in the Sanctuary. If you are interested in volunteering to help restore the Sanctuary’s native plant community for the benefit of our birds and other wildlife or if you just want to learn more about plants, join us - no need to sign up. Please keep an eye on the calendar for any cancellations!
